Let My December Be Light.
A 14 day challenge for the end of the year.
Some people light up this time of year. Some people quietly fall apart. And most of us sit somewhere in the middle holding joy in one hand and heaviness in the other, trying to make sense of it all.
I’ve had so many conversations recently about what it means to move through the end of the year with softness instead of pressure. And honestly? It’s been comforting. Because it turns out a lot of us are tired. A lot of us are holding more than we talk about. A lot of us are craving gentleness but struggling to give it to ourselves.
We think we should “finish strong.”
We think we should have more energy.
We think we shouldn’t be overwhelmed.
We think we should hold everything together because “it’s the holidays.”
But the truth is… this season brings up a lot.
The memories.
The transitions.
The disappointments.
The changes we didn’t expect.
The family dynamics that still sting.
The loneliness that shows up even when we’re surrounded by people.
